The 26th FAI World Hot Air Balloon Championship Krosno 2026 will take place in Krosno, Poland, from September 17–25, 2026.

September 17, 2026
• Competitor registration opens – 4:00 PM
• Arrival of teams and officials
• Training flights begin

September 18, 2026
• Registration continues
• Official training flights
• Event preparations and technical inspections

September 19, 2026
• General Briefing – 2:00 PM
• Official Opening Ceremony at the Municipal Stadium in Krosno (Legionów Street)
• Spectacular drone show during the opening ceremony

September 20–24, 2026
• Competition flights
     Morning flight: approximately 6:00 AM
     Evening flight: approximately 5:30 PM

Exact flight times may change depending on weather conditions and decisions of the Event Director.

Throughout the championship week, spectators will also be able to enjoy over 20 fiesta balloons, including spectacular special shape balloons returning to Krosno after many years.
